The Lord hears the cry of the poor.

"The Lord said, “I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering.   So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey. "  (Exodus 3: 7 - 8 NIV)

"The LORD secures justice and the rights of all the oppressed."  (Psalm 103: 6 RM)

God is still in the business of Redemption.

I will never forget the blessings and gifts of Jesus.

"Bless the LORD, O my soul; and all my being, bless his holy name.
Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.

He pardons all your iniquities he heals all your ills.
He redeems your life from destruction,he crowns you with kindness and compassion."

The Lord is kind and merciful.

He will not always chide, nor does he keep his wrath forever.
Not according to our sins does he deal with us, nor does he requite us according to our crimes."  (Psalm 103: 1 -  3 RM)

Joseph sold into slavery is Divine Providence and not Accident.

"Judah said to his brothers, “What will we gain by killing our brother? We’d have to cover up the crime.   Instead of hurting him, let’s sell him to those Ishmaelite traders. After all, he is our brother—our own flesh and blood!” And his brothers agreed."  (Genesis 37: 26 - 27 NLT)

"When the LORD called down a famine on the land and ruined the crop that sustained them, He sent a man before them,
Joseph, sold as a slave." (Psalm 105: 16 - 17 RM)

"Jesus said to them, “Did you never read in the scriptures:

‘The stone that the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone;
by the Lord has this been done,
and it is wonderful in our eyes’?" (Matthew 21: 42 NABRE)

Forgive again and again and again!

Forgive again and again and again!

"Sometimes it can occur that people forgive and feel the forgiveness;  but after a while, aversion returns.   Do not be surprised.  A deep wound needs many healings.  Forgive again and again until the wound is completely healed."   (Ignacio Larranaga)

Blessed are those who hope in the Lord.

Lord direct our hearts to Yourself.

This is what the Lord says:
“Cursed are those who put their trust in mere humans, who rely on human strength and turn their hearts away from  the  Lord. They are like stunted shrubs in the desert, with no hope for the future.
They will live in the barren wilderness, in an uninhabited salty land."

“But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water.
Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green,
and they never stop producing fruit."  (Jeremiah 17: 5 - 8 NLT)

Must love be repaid with evil?

"As Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, he took the twelve disciples aside privately and told them what was going to happen to him.   “Listen,” he said, “we’re going up to Jerusalem, where the Son of Man  will be betrayed to the leading priests and the teachers of religious law. They will sentence him to die.   Then they will hand him over to the Romans  to be mocked, flogged with a whip, and crucified. But on the third day he will be raised from the dead.”  (Matthew 20: 17 - 19 NLT)

"Your attitude   must be like my own, for I, the Messiah,  did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give my life as a ransom for many.”  (Matthew 20:  28 TLB)

Lord help me to practice what I teach as You practiced everything You taught.

"Then Jesus spoke to the crowds and to His disciples,  saying: “The scribes and Pharisees have seated themselves in Moses’ chair [of authority as teachers of the Law];  so practice and observe everything they tell you, but do not do as they do; for they preach [things], but do not practice them."   (Matthew 23: 1-3 AMP)

"But the greatest among you will be your servant.    Whoever exalts himself shall be humbled; and whoever humbles himself shall be raised to honor."  (Matthew 23: 11-12 AMP)

In verdant pastures, my Good Shepherd gives me repose.

"Feed the flock of God; care for it willingly, not grudgingly; not for what you will get out of it but because you are eager to serve the Lord.  Don’t be tyrants, but lead them by your good example."

"And when the Head Shepherd comes, your reward will be a never-ending share in his glory and honor."
