We need the poor

How do we need the poor?  The poor introduce us to Jesus when we die!

"Why was this perfume not sold for 300 denarii [a year’s wages for an ordinary workman] and that [money] given to the poor (the destitute)?"  (John 12:5 AMP)

"You will always have the poor among you, but you will not always have me.”  (John 12:8 NLT)
