I do not come to abolish the Law.

The promised new law is the Holy Spirit. 

"Jesus said to his disciples: “Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill.

 Amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or the smallest part of a letter will pass from the law, until all things have taken place. 

Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do so will be called least in the Kingdom of heaven. 

But whoever obeys and teaches these commandments will be called greatest in the Kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5: 17 - 19).

Wednesday 15th March 2023 in the 3rd Week of Lent. 

"From his fullness we have all received, grace in place of grace, because while the law was given through Moses, grace and truth came through Jesus Christ." (John 1: 16 - 17).

From the fullness of Jesus Christ, we have received the fullness of the Promise of God: the Holy Spirit. 

The Holy Spirit through the word of God gives us inspiration and power to live like the children of God. 

Renew your Baptismal promises frequently this Lent and be refreshed with fresh anointing of the Holy Spirit.
