DISHONEST LIP SERVICE.

DISHONEST LIP SERVICE.

"Jesus said to the chief priests and the elders of the people:

“What is your opinion?

A man had two sons.

He came to the first and said,

‘Son, go out and work in the vineyard today.’

The son said in reply, ‘I will not,’

but afterwards he changed his mind and went.

The man came to the other son and gave the same order.

He said in reply, ‘Yes, sir,’ but did not go.

Which of the two did his father’s will?”

They answered, “The first.”

Jesus said to them, “Amen, I say to you,

tax collectors and prostitutes

are entering the Kingdom of God before you.

When John came to you in the way of righteousness,

you did not believe him;

but tax collectors and prostitutes did.

Yet even when you saw that,

you did not later change your minds and believe him.” (Matthew 21: 28 -  32).

Tuesday December 16 2025 of the 3rd Week of Advent.

What is possibly the best and most important thing you can do for yourself and your family in the next several days left in Advent?

Reconciliation! Reconciliation! Reconciliation!

Why do I say this? Because the grace of the Advent Reconciliation is comparable to that of Lenten Reconciliation.

Lent and Advent are two special seasons of Mercy in the Church.

What is Mercy? Mercy is our Heavenly Father's response to our messiness.

Instead of punishing us with anger, He embraces us with complete forgiveness.

Remember the ABC of MERCY:

ASK FOR MERCY.

BE MERCIFUL.

COMPLETELY TRUST JESUS FOR MERCY.

THE  days of Advent are times of favor.

The appointed time for special release of all types of graces and healing.

Do not harden your heart. The Lord hears the cry of the poor. He is waiting for you with open arms. Rush to Him.

Lip service is condemned in the Gospel of today. "I will go." But of course did not mean it.

Advent invites us to examine our attitude to God and make corrections where necessary so that we can take maximum advantage of the outpouring of mercy from the Heart of God, our Father.

The Church honors the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary every day in December.

Mary was conceived without original sin. This grace and privilege are fitting in view of the birth and death of her Son Jesus Christ, who is the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity.

"O God, who by the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, did prepare a worthy dwelling place for Your Son, we beseech You that, as by the foreseen death of this, Your Son, You did preserve Her from all stain, so too You would permit us, purified through Her intercession, to come unto You."
