THE SOLEMNITY OF THE MOST SACRED HEART OF JESUS.

SOLEMNITY OF THE MOST SACRED HEART OF JESUS.

THE GOODNEWS:

"Moses said to the people:

"You are a people sacred to the LORD, your God;

he has chosen you from all the nations on the face of the earth

to be a people peculiarly his own.

It was not because you are the largest of all nations

that the LORD set his heart on you and chose you,

for you are really the smallest of all nations.

It was because the LORD loved you

and because of his fidelity to the oath he had sworn your fathers,

that he brought you out with his strong hand

from the place of slavery,

and ransomed you from the hand of Pharaoh, king of Egypt.

Understand, then, that the LORD, your God, is God indeed,

the faithful God who keeps his merciful covenant

down to the thousandth generation

toward those who love him and keep his commandments,

but who repays with destruction a person who hates him;

he does not dally with such a one,

but makes them personally pay for it.

You shall therefore carefully observe the commandments,

the statutes and the decrees that I enjoin on you today." (Deuteronomy 7: 6 - 11).

FRIDAY JUNE 12TH 2026 IS THE SOLEMNITY OF THE MOST SACRED HEART OF JESUS.

This Day is made by the Lord, let us be glad and rejoice in it. The Novena is over. Like little children we are now waiting to open our birthday presents.

Out of the great Scriptures Mother Church has served for the great feast of today, our choice is Deuteronomy 7: 6 - 11.

Why? It humbles us to know why the Sacred Heart of Jesus chose us out of countless millions who are better than us to be His special friends.

Who does this remind us in the Old Testament?

It reminds us of Jacob the Patriarch, the father of 12 sons, whose name was changed to Israel.

Jacob was not a refined saint. In fact, he was a prodigal of some kind. Yet God loved Jacob tenderly and chose him to be the foundation stone of His family Israel.

Let us be happy and rejoice that the Sacred Heart of Jesus has chosen us to be be His special friends.

Thank You Jesus for the lesson You teach us in Deuteronomy 7: 6 - 11.

You teach us that Divine love and election is not like human love.

JUNE IS THE MONTH THE UNIVERSAL CHURCH HONORS THE MOST SACRED HEART OF JESUS.

Jesus, the Living Person in the Agony

"For me, the Sacred Heart is not just a symbol; it is a Living Person.

I look at Jesus in His Agony, and I see how the Holy Spirit converts souls through the silent, burning flame of His love."

— St. Thérèse of Lisieux.

Enter spiritually into the shadows of Gethsemane, looking upon the Person of Jesus not as a static historical representation, but as a living, breathing Person who is present to you right now.

 The Holy Spirit bridge-links your present moment to His historical Agony.

Divine Providence permitted Jesus to see your specific acts of fidelity across time to comfort Him under the olive trees.

When you encounter moments of interior darkness, physical discomfort, or spiritual isolation, do not look at them as meaningless text;

 see them as opportunities to stand watch with the Living Christ, converting souls through your silent union with His burning love.

Prayer:

Living Heart of Jesus, stay with me in my weakness, and let my love console Your agony.

Today, Friday June 12th is the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

 Honor Jesus on the Feast of the Sacred Heart with Mass and Holy Communion.

“ Sacred Heart of Jesus, Thy Kingdom come. Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, increase in us faith, hope and charity. Heart of Jesus, burning with love of us, inflame our hearts with love of Thee. O Divine Heart of Jesus, convert sinners, save the dying, free the holy souls in Purgatory." (Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus).

Read of the abundant promises made to people who honor the Sacred Heart of Jesus especially in June and first Fridays of every month.
