THE DIVINE MERCY IS BOTTOMLESS.
AN ADULTERER SURPRISED BY MERCY.

THE GOOD NEWS:
"Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. But early in the morning he arrived again in the temple area, and all the people started coming to him, and he sat down and taught them.
Then the scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in adultery and made her stand in the middle.

They said to him, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the very act of committing adultery. Now in the law, Moses commanded us to stone such women. So what do you say?” They said this to test him, so that they could have some charge to bring against him.
Jesus bent down and began to write on the ground with his finger. But when they continued asking him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let the one among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.”
Again he bent down and wrote on the ground. And in response, they went away one by one, beginning with the elders.
So he was left alone with the woman before him. Then Jesus straightened up and said to her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?”

She replied, “No one, sir.” Then Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you. Go, and from now on do not sin any more.” (John 8: 1 - 11).

Today's Gospel celebrates Divine Mercy and Divine Intervention. The woman caught red-handed in the act of adultery was apparently guilty. She was surprised by Mercy.
Divine intervention at the nick of time saved the woman from public lynching. The intervention of Jesus at that precise moment was an act of Divine Providence. Divine Providence is mighty in its operations. But it is very merciful and often mysterious.
Jesus became the Face of Mercy for the Adulterer who gazed into the Face of God and heard these words: “Neither do I condemn you. Go, and from now on do not sin any more.”
The Bible has many examples of the merciful love of God. When you hear this testimony of mercy, put yourself in the place of the beneficiary of mercy and claim it for yourself.
"The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy." (Revelation 19: 10).
What does this mean? Scripture is filled with examples of mercies and miracles that you can claim as prophecy, that is divine promise to you.
"The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."

"You ought to know what you have received, what you are about to receive, what you ought to receive every day. That bread which you can see on the altar, sanctified by the word of God, is the body of Christ. That cup, or rather what the cup contains, sanctified by the word of God, is the blood of Christ." (St Augustine).
My flesh is real food and My blood is real drink says the Lord.
