You are my inheritance O Lord

Do you need grace and mercy?
Then come to the source with confidence!
You are my inheritance O Lord!

Psalm 16: 1-2
"Preserve me, O God, for in you I take refuge.  I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; I have no good apart from you.”

"I bless the Lord who gives me counsel; in the night also my heart instructs me." ( Psalm 16:7)

Remembering Answered Prayer

The Pure Joy of Answered Prayer is Unbelievable!

R.  I will give thanks to you, for you have answered me.

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good,
for his mercy endures forever.
My strength and my courage is the LORD,
and he has been my savior.
The joyful shout of victory
in the tents of the just.

R. I will give thanks to you, for you have answered me.

“The right hand of the LORD is exalted;
the right hand of the LORD has struck with power.”
I shall not die, but live,
and declare the works of the LORD.
Though the LORD has indeed chastised me,
yet he has not delivered me to death.

R. I will give thanks to you, for you have answered me.

Open to me the gates of justice;
I will enter them and give thanks to the LORD.
This is the gate of the LORD;
the just shall enter it.
I will give thanks to you, for you have answered me
and have been my savior.

R. I will give thanks to you, for you have answered me.

Love covers a multitude of our sins

A beautiful image taken this morning in the little Shrine of Our Lady Queen of Peace at St Thomas More Church.
Peace in our hearts
Peace in our families
Peace in our neighborhoods
Peace in our nation
Peace among people of goodwill
Peace in the world

Love covers a multitude of our sins.

John 13:34

"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another."

"God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us." (Romans 5 :5)

Commandments of love and life

Matthew 5:19

"Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven."

Lord, may Your Holy Spirit enable us to obey Your laws.

God is the Guardian of my rights

"The LORD will guard you from all evil; he will guard your life.
The LORD will guard your coming and your going,
both now and forever." (121:7-8)

Indeed He neither slumbers nor sleeps, the Guardian of Israel.

Elijah fed by ravens

1 Kings 17:3-4

3 “Depart from here and turn eastward and hide yourself by the brook Cherith, which is east of the Jordan. 4 You shall drink from the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there.”

This is Pentecost

John 20:22

"And when he had said this, Jesus breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit."

The disciples were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke of the great things God had done.  (Acts 2: 4, 11)

Keep within us the vigor of Your Spirit O Lord.
