It is your Son Himself who from the Cross said: "Behold your Mother."
The Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Happy Birthday Sweet Mother!
"Now this is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about.
When his mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, but before they lived together, she was found with child through the Holy Spirit.
"Joseph her husband, since he was a righteous man, yet unwilling to expose her to shame, decided to divorce her quietly.
"Such was his intention when, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream
and said, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary your wife into your home.
For it is through the Holy Spirit that this child has been conceived in her.
She will bear a son and you are to name him Jesus,
because he will save his people from their sins.”
All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet:
"Behold, the virgin shall be with child and bear a son, and they shall name him Emmanuel,
which means “God is with us.” (Matthew 1: 18 - 23).

Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The Universal Church of 1.4 billion souls celebrate the Birthday of her, the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Mary was chosen, called, prepared and enabled to be the Mother of our Lord Jesus Christ, Savior of Mankind.(Cf Romans 8: 30).
Mary said Yes immediately to the Archangel Gabriel.
She did not say: "Let me first ask my husband Joseph about this. I will also like to talk to my mother."
It was this openness to grace that made Mary: "Blessed among women." (Cf Luke 1: 45).
And every generation continues to call her blessed every day through the blessed Holy Rosary.
According to Matthew the Evangelist, Jesus Christ descended directly from Abraham:
"The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
Abraham became the father of Isaac, Isaac the father of Jacob........... (Matthew 1: 1 - 2).
After the birth of Jesus, the line of genealogy comes abruptly to an end.
"Eleazar became the father of Matthan, Matthan the father of Jacob, Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary. Of her was born Jesus who is called the Messiah." (Matthew 1: 15 - 16).
A new genealogy begins from Jesus Son of God and Son of Mary.
This genealogy includes you and me as royal sons and daughters.
"Let us celebrate with joy the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary,
for from her arose the sun of justice, Christ our God." (Entrance Antiphon, Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary).
In September, the Church honors the Sorrowful Heart of Mary. But today September 8th, the Universal Church celebrates the Birthday of our most sweet and beautiful Mother. The Church hails her Son Jesus Christ as Son of God and Son of Mary.
