But now do not be distressed, and do not be angry with yourselves for having sold me here. It was really for the sake of saving lives that God sent me here ahead of you."
The marvels of divine providence is beyond compare. God sees His work from beginning to the end. But man sees only the appearances. Trust completely in God's providence.
"Divine providence consists of the dispositions by which God guides all his creatures with wisdom and love to their ultimate end." (Catechism of the Catholic Church #321)"Then he called down a famine on the land,
destroyed the grain that sustained them.
He had sent a man ahead of them,
Joseph, sold as a slave.
They shackled his feet with chains;
collared his neck in iron,
Till his prediction came to pass,
and the word of the LORD proved him true." (Psalm 105: 16 - 19)
"Christ invites us to filial trust in the providence of our heavenly Father (cf. Mt 6:26-34), and St. Peter the apostle repeats: "Cast all your anxieties on him, for he cares about you" (I Pt 5:7; cf. Ps 55:23). (Catechism of the Catholic Church #322)
